In Memory of our Greyhounds Who Have Crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2009

"The dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. - Josh Billings"

Bear Hollow (Jazz)

Whelped: 2/4/07

Died: 11/15/09

Jazz was a very special pet: we called him our boy. He lived with us just 33 weeks, but he became a loyal, loving and gentle companion to both of us. We miss him Daily, but especially in the morning when he would wake us with a gentle dog kiss in the face. We miss him every time we would return home and he would greet us at the door with great excitement anticipating his hello-hug and kiss. His people-mommy misses him each mealtime because he would nuzzle her until she stopped whatever else she was doing and feed him. He also became super excited each morning when his people-daddy put on his baseball cap, because to him that meant it was time for his daily walk around the neighborhood or the park. Oh yes, great times for us.

He became a sweet, gentle playmate for our five Richmond and two NC grandkids when they would visit, and he also loved our daughters boxer, Mitzi, as well as Jean Littles two lovely greyhounds, Koko and Snickers. We so appreciate the special care he received from Susan Arruda and Terry & Nick Stokes whenever we had to travel several days to see the other three grandkids in Colorado or family in New Jersey. Yes, he had many loyal friends and we miss him very much. Perhaps, Good willing, well cross the Rainbow Bridge together.

CJ Chick Magnet "Nova"

Whelped: 12/26/02

Died: 11/12/09

Every morning we would share a walk. When I was at school, he was waiting. I never felt alone at night. Nova was my companion. I loved him each day that we spent together.

Kiowa War Torn "Tyler"

Whelped: 8/9/05

Died: 7/26/09

Its hard to put everything in words that I feel. Tyler was very, very shy. I think he bundled up all that love he was afraid to show others and gave it all to me. My heart still breaks when I think of losing him.
