Colonial Greyhound Adoption is often invited to have our volunteers gather at a retail establishment to give the public an opportunity to “Meet and Greet” a Greyhound retired from racing. We also will be participating in several community special events. Dates for these events will be posted on this page. (Events may occur in Williamsburg, Newport News, Richmond, or Charlottesville).
If you have never met a Greyhound retired from racing, we invite you to come out to
one of these “Meet and Greets”. These occasions are the perfect arena for you to
experience the gentleness and friendliness of a retired racer, as well as an opportunity
to talk to their owners about their life with a Greyhound.
