1. RESEARCH:
We recommend that you learn all that you can about Greyhounds. We strongly suggest you read the book, Living with a Greyhound, by Cynthia A. Brannigan. Most libraries and bookstores have a selection of books specific to Greyhounds.

3. TELEHONE INTERVIEW:
Once your application has been received,
you will be contacted by one of our Adoption
Coordinators. That person will review your
application with you and be available to
answer all your questions and discuss ownership
expectations.

4. HOME VISITATION:
If you wish to continue the process the Adoption
Coordinator will arrange a home visit with you.
No adoption is arranged without a home visit by
one of our volunteers.

5. ADOPTION:
Greyhounds are placed in their new
homes on agreed upon date with their
new owners. How the Greyhound is
selected is discussed during the home
visit. The new owner will receive
advance information about their dog:
sex, color, weight, age and personality.
All new owners are required to sign an
Agreement of Ownership on the date
of adoption. The new owner will also
receive a packet containing: NGA
Registration, spay/neuter certificate,
rabies vaccination record, documentation
of other vaccinations, a martingale collar
made for Greyhounds with matching lease.
The cost per dog is $250.00.
